Kivalo Soa Honko is the new crcuit of Morondava which is to the north of Morondava, accessible by car via the alley of Baobabs and by outrigger Molanga Pirogue; form a peaceful and charming place with beautiful beach and Mangrove Forests. Unique excursion in a sailing or motorized Pirogue at sea, then Walks in the Mangroves to see endemic birds such as the Sacred Ibis, Le Vanga and others. There is also a typical Night Walk in Mangroves circuit to meet the Microcébus living in this ecosystem. Combined with a Baobab hike to Baobab Alley or continue to Kirindy to see Fosa and Sifaka. Kivalo Honko Soa is able to educate not only local people, but also visitors from all over the world, on the ecology of mangroves and their conservation. In addition, with the introduction of multiple alternative livelihoods, Kivalo Honko Soa is working to strengthen the resilience of communities in the face of Climate Change. Community empowerment, supported by AGAMO Association des Guides Agréés de Morondava and WWF, and reinforced through training in community management of mangroves, promises the Kivalo zone and neighboring communities a better and more sustainable future.
